Game Drawing

Game Drawings

My thoughts on the final piece where that it could have been better and alittle Bigger. The perspective on the piece was good, but could use some work. The washes of the watercolor and the blending of the colored pencils looked very good together and made the overall piece come together. Also the overlapping of the two textures looked great together and gave the drawing good value. The part I had the most truoble with was the gradation and working with the vanishing points, trying to make them go together. From the piece I learned that working with highlights, shadows and the horizon are very important to makeing the piece turn out great.

Anamorphosis

Anamorphosis Critique

1. Describe the process you went through to change your object into the correct perspective to create the drawing.
First I went to photoshop and played with the perspective of the picture. Then I changed the scale of the picture to make it elongated. After that it was transformed in to a picture that look like it was sitting on the page.

2. How did distorting and stretching the object allow for you to create a drawing that would look different to the viewer?
I used a grid to help me to get the drawing to look like the picture in made in photoshop. Also I used shadows and value to make the drawing to look 3D on the paper. The the picture was transformed into a 2D drawing to look 3D.

3. What were the most important concepts in the project to make it susuccessful?
The most important concepts where the shadows and the value. They where so important because they made the drawing look like the drawing. The colored pencils anmorphosis where important to because it gave it a nice soft look to the drawing.
